Insert maps and other Septima Widgets configured in Septima Widget Admin with a block or a shortcode.

== Description ==

Septima Widget for WordPress lets editors insert maps and other [Septima Widgets](https://septima.dk) into pages and posts. The widgets are configured in Septima Widget Admin.

* **Block** "Septima Widget" with a live preview in the editor, a button to open the widget in Widget Admin and a button to create a new widget.
* **Shortcode** `[septima_widget id="..." height="400px"]` for the classic editor and page builders.
* **Automatic configuration**: enter the address of your Widget Admin. The widget version and URLs are read from Widget Admin and kept up to date.
* The widget script is only loaded on pages that contain a widget.
* Translated into Danish and English.

= License requirement =

The plugin is free (MIT license), but using it requires a **paid Septima Widget and Widget Admin license**. Contact [Septima](https://septima.dk) to get a license and a Widget Admin instance.

= Documentation =

= External services =

This plugin connects to your own Septima Widget Admin instance and to Septima's widget hosting:

* **Widget Admin** (the URL you configure): the server reads `{Widget Admin URL}/api/public/info` to find the widget version and URLs. No data about your site or visitors is sent. Editors' browsers open Widget Admin when they click "Open in Widget Admin" or "Create new widget".
* **Septima Widget script and configurations** (the URLs returned by Widget Admin, e.g. on septima.dk and widget.cdn.septima.dk): visitors' browsers load `widget.js`, the widget configuration and the map data on pages that contain a widget. The editor preview loads the same resources.

Septima's privacy policy: [septima.dk](https://septima.dk). The map services used depend on the widget configuration.

== Installation ==

1. Upload `septima-widget.zip` via **Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin**, or unpack it into `wp-content/plugins/septima-widget/`.
2. Activate the plugin.
3. Go to **Settings → Septima Widget** and enter your **Widget Admin URL**.
4. Add the **Septima Widget** block to a page, or use the shortcode.

All settings can also be set with constants in `wp-config.php`, e.g. `define( 'SEPTIMA_WIDGET_ADMIN_URL', 'https://widgetadmin.example.dk' );`.
